The Globe (Camp Lejeune)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Globe is the base newspaper for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. It has won a number of merit awards for excellence in military journalism.
The paper currently enjoys a circulation of more than 30,000 and is available at more than 500 locations in Jacksonville, NC and surrounding communities.
There is also a new website, [1] It is updated every Thursday when the paper comes out.
Despite the Globe's shortcomings, at least it is nowhere near equivalent to its counterpart, the RotoVue [2]. The RotoVue is a brochure that is also distributed by Landmark and receives a much lower budget and sub-par printing facilities.
It is also important to note that two writers cover all of the news for MCB Camp Lejeune, Onslow County, Camp Geiger and Camp Johnson...and who says the Marine Corps does more with less.......
