The Genesis of Shannara

The Genesis of Shannara is the title of a series of novels currently being written by Terry Brooks. The first book, Armageddon's Children, was released by Del Rey Books on August 29, 2006 in the United States and by Orbit Books on September 7, 2006 in the United Kingdom. These novels bridge the Word/Void trilogy with the Shannara series, two other of Brooks' productions. They cover events during The Great Wars, which are alluded to often in the Shannara series.

The first novel in the Genesis trilogy details the quest of two Knights of the Word in protecting two powerful magics in a post-apocalyptic Earth.
[edit] The Elves of Cintra (2007 - anticipated)
This book is slated to deal mostly with the Elves first mentioned in Armageddon's Children. The official website projects the release to be around September of 2007.[1]
[edit] Untitled third Genesis of Shannara novel (2008 - anticipated)
No title or release date for the third novel has been announced (as of October 2006), though the official website projects the release to be around September of 2008.[1]
