The Galaxy Sessions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Galaxy Sessions is an unreleased recording by Something Corporate. Recorded in early 2001 at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, California, the session featured seven songs, only two of which ("iF yoU C Jordan" and "Heroine", which was later renamed "Punk Rock Princess") made it onto future releases by the band. However, unmastered versions of the remaining songs are floating around on P2P file-sharing programs.
Originally, in April 2001, the then unsigned band asked the members of their online newsletter to sell tickets to one of their concerts at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California themselves. Every member who sold more than five tickets would receive a copy of the unmastered Galaxy Sessions.
Even though not available on an official release, the song "Wait" became a fan-favorite and kept slipping into the band's live sets. Thus, it later appeared on both Something Corporate's live CD Fillmore Theatre - November 5th, 2003 and their live DVD Live at the Ventura Theater.
In November 2004, drummer Brian Ireland stated in an interview that the songs will possibly be released on a B-sides compilation, further details about which have not been announced as of 2005.
