From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Frenetics were a Montreal band which formed in August 1999 presenting a sound equal parts influenced by 70's British punk (The Clash, the Jam) and 90's American indie rock (Fugazi, Jawbreaker).
The Frenetics' first album, the "Scenery" CD EP was released on Grenadine Records. Following this, The Frenetics released two more albums, "These Mistakes Took Years of Practice" in 2001 and "Grey Veins To The Parking Lot" released in 2004 both on Union 2112 Records. The band also released various singles and 7inches.
When the band broke up in 2005, their line up was made up of Malcolm Bauld (guitar/voice), Alex Seliger (bass) and Anne Gauthier (drums). Malcolm Bauld still performs as a solo musician as well as in Yesterday's Ring. Ann Gauthier currently plays in Kickers.
