The Foxymorons is an indie rock band that formed in Mesquite, Texas in 1994. Since 1998, they have been releasing albums and EPs, and have recently been signed under the label Heatstroke Records, along with Jetpack UK (whom David Dewese also plays in) and The Bubblegum Complex.

Jerry James and David Dewese met each other at a church camp in 1990 and went to school together at Poteet High School. In 1995, they formed The Foxymorons. Jerry James started his own record label, Foxyphoton, in 1998, and with it released The Foxymorons' first ever recording, "Silver Leaves EP". By this time, David Dewese had moved to Nashville, Tennessee. They signed onto California's American Pop Project and released their debut album, "Calcutta", in 1999. A year later, in the Spring of 2000, they played their first live show at SXSW. In 2004, they signed onto Heatstroke Records, where they currently remain. David Dewese currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee and Jerry James lives in Ft. Worth, Texas.
