Tod the fox kit and Copper the hound puppy are still leading their mischievous lives, but when Copper wants to search for his inner talent, it leads to a trip to the county fair. When a small Setter named Dixie quits The Singin' Strays, a howling country and western dog band, Copper joins the band, leading to conficts between him and Tod.

- The tagline for this movie was "Friends Forever."
- This movie has many songs such as "Good Doggie...No Bone", "We're In Harmony", "We Go Together", "Blue Beyond", "Hound Dude" and an unreleased song "Girlfriend".
- The movie may focus more about Dixie and Cash and mostly on how Dixie wants her life to be a true understanding part of her spotlight as singing diva dog from the group called "The Singin Strays".
- The new characters are Dixie, Cash, Ryder , Lyle, Ceil and Ger the Raccoons, The Dog Band and the Fox kits.
