The Fly (2006 film)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fly is a proposed film that was originally set to come out in 2006 but will most probably hit the theaters later (in 2007 or 2008). It is a remake of The Fly (1958 film) and The Fly (1986 film) making it a remake of a remake or double remake. Initially newcomer Todd Lincoln was set to direct, but according to the website www.filmstalker.co.uk [1] he left the project after he and the studio disagreed over how to approach the material. Lincoln wanted a psychological metamorphosis similar to Franz Kafka's short story. However, in April 2006 it was announced that the film will be about a scientist who gets teleportated with a fly and gets its genes incorporated in his DNA causing him to slowly morph into a fly.
