The memoir of fighter pilot and later Air General Adolf Galland. It is an account of his life during World War II written only 9 years after its conclusion. It was first published in 1957 and is widely regarded as the best World War II aviation memoir from the Axis side and one of the best overall. The English translation of this very successful book was reprinted in 2005 by Cerberus Press (ISBN 1-84145-020-0).
