The Evil Within is the twenty-fifth episode of the animated television series Xiaolin Showdown created by Christy Hui. It was directed by Mike Milo and written by Amy Wolfram. It originally aired in the United States on Kids WB on February 5, 2005.

[edit] Plot synopsis
After Kimiko accidentally breaks the Mosaic Scale, she hides the pieces in Clay's room. The next day, Clay starts acting weird ... and acting up. It turns out that the Mosaic Scale was used to contain a mischievous spirit named Sibini, an earwig who has possessed the Dragon of Earth. While he is possessed by Sibini, Clay goes into the vault to try to find the Monarch Wings, the sister Shen Gong Wu to the Scale. While in there, Jack Spicer breaks into the Temple for the purposes of stealing Shen Gong Wu to impress Chase. Clay as Sibini teams up with Jack Spicer and takes most of Shen Gong Wu out of the Temple after fighting with Omi, Raimundo and Kimiko. Master Fung tells the remaining three that if Sibini gets the Monarch Wings, they will combine with the Mosaic Scale and will no longer need a host and will become invincible! Omi, Raimundo and Kimiko go looking for Sibini. While looking, Omi meets Chase, who has rejected Jack Spicer's attempts at teaming up, and battles him. Chase, however, tells Omi the secret to defeating Sibni and teaches him a new technique, Repel the Monkey. Omi meets up with the others and fights to free Clay. After Sibini leaves Clay's body, Kimiko challenges Sibini to a Showdown by the Monarch Wings. Sibini get the Monarch Wings and the Mosaic Scale, but when it was using it, Kimiko uses the Eye of Dashi with her Fire element to lock up Sibini and destroy the Monarch Wings. A very proud Raimundo and Omi wait for her on the other side of the lake and tell her how proud they are of her for locking Sibini and for learning from her mistakes. At the end Kimiko tells the truth to Clay which he seems to forgive her.
