The Everlasting Hatred: The Roots of Jihad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Everlasting Hatred: The Roots of Jihad, is a book by Hal Lindsey which attempts to explain the conflict between Islam and the Western world by tracing its roots to a biblical conflict between the descendants of Jacob (biblical forefather of the Jews) and Esau/Ishmael (biblical forefathers of Arabs/Muslims).
Lindsey claims that the history of great civillizations can be explained by two biblical verses: Genesis 12:3, "I will bless those who bless you Israel, I will curse those who treat you with contempt" and Genesis 27:29 "Those who curse you Israel will be cursed, and those who bless you will be blessed." (HCSB version of the Bible) In Lindsey’s opinion God's blessings are the hope of Israel and the Jewish people, and the doom of Islam.
