The End of the Affair is the title of an opera by Jake Heggie, with a libretto (based on the book by Graham Greene) by Heather McDonald; it was premiered in March of 2004 at Houston Grand Opera. The libretto has since ben revised by Heather McDonald, Leonard Foglia, and Jake Heggie for performances at Madison Opera and Seattle Opera.

There have also been two movies made of the story.
