The Dream Team was a successful WWF tag-team from about 1985 to March 1987 consisting of Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine. On Augest 24, 1985, The Dream Team captured the Tag-Team Titles from Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham in Philadelphia, PA. They held the titles until WrestleMania 2 (in Chicago) where they lost to the British Bulldogs. The team was seen several times on Saturday Night's Main Event during their time in the WWF. The last time the team saw action together was at Wrestlemania III in Pontiac, MI in front of 93,173 fans when they defeated the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers when Dino Bravo interfered with a double ax handle hit from the second rope. When Beefcake got up, he wondered how they won. Bravo, Valentine and their manager, Johnny V, left him in the ring. Later in the event, Beefcake came out to Roddy Piper's benefit to aid him in winning a hair-cut match with Adrian Adonis.
Valentine was a former Intercontinental Champion and had a successful career afterwards with The Honky Tonk Man in the tag-team Rhythm & Blues and was an average superstar in singles competition.
Beefcake went on to nearly win the Intercontinental title at Wrestlemania IV and was a main babyface until his parasailing accident cost him a couple years worth of work as he had steel plates and screws put in his head. He went on to team with Hulk Hogan as the Mega Maniacs at Wrestlemania IX and was a regular under several gimmicks in WCW until it was bought by the WWE.
