The Dramatics (Martha Colburn and Jason Willett)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dramatics were a two-piece chaotic improvisational band from Baltimore, Maryland, United States. They were active in the 1990s and released five albums and one triple 7" box set between 1993 to 1996. The members of this unlikely duo were Martha Colburn, whose inimitable film style (over 20 films to her credit) drew attention from the likes of MTV and Disney and has earned her a large following in Europe; and Jason Willett who was a member of Half Japanese and participated in numerous other recordings. The Dramatics would often use their music as soundtrack material for Martha's films. Martha was known to attribute her prolific creativity (in part) to the fact that the loft she lived in for some time was not heated.
