The Divine Wings of Tragedy is the third studio album by Symphony X, released in 1997, and is considered by many to be their magnum opus. It features nine tracks, ranging in genre from almost 'sympho-thrash' ("Of Sins and Shadows") to epic, progressive pieces ("The Accolade", "The Divine Wings of Tragedy").

The title track, "The Divine Wings of Tragedy", contains excerpts from Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B Minor and The Planets by Gustav Holst.
