[edit] Pilgrimage to the Southern Stars

A fan-named pre-release, Pilgrimage to the Southern Stars, included a track that did not make the final cut—"Don't Wait"—and extended versions of "Sun", "Where Fishes Go" (as "Amphibious"), "Feel the Quiet River Rage", "Meltdown" and "They Stood Up for Love". Also, "Voodoo Lady" was titled "Happy Hour."

[edit] 1998 Demo Session

Recently in 2006, it came to light that a demo session that was recorded in 1998 housed various outtakes and alternate cuts of tracks that eventually made the album. Early workings of "The Distance", "Face and Ghost" and "Vine Street" featuring alternate lyrics and instrumentation have been released on the Internet and a sample of an alternate version of "Walk Into This Room" (of which a duet version was released on the Playing by Heart soundtrack) has surfaced. It is speculated that this recorded session also contains other sought-after tracks as well.
