The Diplomats of Solid Sound are a mostly-instrumental Soul group from Iowa City, IA that perform music in the spirit of Booker T and the MGs, The Bar-Kays and The Ventures. The current members of the band are Doug Roberson on guitar, Nate Basinger on Hammond Organ, Jim Viner on drums and purcussion, and David Basinger on sax.
