[edit] Characters in The Dastard
- The Dastard- A vile, mostly self-centered man who has the power to travel back in time up to when he first received his ability. He used to have an encumbering ability that would distort his perception of the world (i.e., he would mistake dangerous warnings for trivial statements), sometimes nearly fatally. He grew sick with this ability, which attracted the attention of a devilish being. The two bargained, and in exchange for his soul and his old talent, the Dastard would gain the talent of traveling through time but not before he first receives this power. Throughout the book, the dastard is a mostly apathetic individual, not having any qualms of altering history so that people do not exist or experience joy. He is also perverted, asking numerous women to show him their panties, and selfish, only accomplishing what will ultimatley benefit himself in the end.
