The Dark Tower (comics)

The Dark Tower is a miniseries published by Marvel Comics. It is based on the series of the same name written by Stephen King. It will be written by Robin Furth, drawn by Jae Lee and the dialogue then scripted by Peter David. Stephen King himself is overseeing the project.

It is set to be a prequel to the series, taking up from the events after Roland's adventures in Wizard and Glass.

The series was originally due to begin in April of 2006, but was delayed until 2007 for unspecified reasons. Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada has stated that Jae Lee will do no other work whatsoever while working on the Dark Tower comics.^{[citation needed]}

In addition to the seven issue arc which begins in February, Marvel Comics is also releasing a free, 15 page "sketchbook". it is entitled Stephen King's Dark Tower: Gunslinger Borne Sketchbook. Also in preparation for its imminent release, they will release a Marvel Spotlight: The Dark Tower, in which the illustrators, writers, and editors will be interviewed on the arc. It will cost $2.99 and is 43 pages long.
