The Daily Iowan

The Daily Iowan is an independent, 20,500-circulation daily paper serving Iowa City and the University of Iowa community. It has consistently won a number of collegiate journalism awards, and is generally regarded as one of the finest student newspapers in the country.
George Gallup, creator of the Gallup poll, served as editor of The Daily Iowan in the early 1920s.
