The Curious Room

The Curious Room (ISBN 0099586215) is a book collecting various plays and scripts by Angela Carter. Its full title is The Curious Room: Plays, Film Scripts and an Opera.
It contains her original screenplays for the films The Company of Wolves and The Magic Toyshop, both of which were based on her original novels and stories. It also contains a draft of a libretto for an opera based on Orlando: A Biography by Virginia Woolf, radio plays that include reworkings of Puss in Boots and Dracula and an unproduced screenplay called The Christchurch Murders based on the Parker-Hulme murders which also influenced the Peter Jackson film Heavenly Creatures.
The book was published in 1996, four years after Angela Carter's death.
