The Crowded Room
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Crowded Room, based on the non-fiction book The Minds of Billy Milligan, is a movie project that has been "in the works" since the early 90s. James Cameron, after meeting with Billy Milligan personally and doing extensive research, wrote a script and had plans to make a low budget film. [1] Leonardo DiCaprio was at one point said to have been in training for the role.
Since Cameron left the project other directors such as Todd Field was to direct and with John Cusack possibly playing Billy Milligan, however this has needless to say, fallen through. Billy Milligan himself has said "that it's like a hot potato, it's been tossed around but no one (director) has been hungry enough to take a bite".
As of June 2006, director Joel Schumacher has taken on the project and the movie is currently under going a "significant rewrite". Colin Farrell has been heavily rumored to play Billy Milligan.
