This brings together the two Peel Sessions for BBC radio and the BBC TV appearance on Something Else. The album also contains an interview with Ian Curtis and Stephen Morris for BBC Radio's Rock On programme. It was released in the UK in August 2000, in the US in October 2000, and on vinyl in April 2001. In July 2002 the CD was packaged with a New Order BBC concert under the title Before and After.

Tracks 1 to 4 recorded in January 1979 at the BBC Studios, Maida Vale, London. Tracks 5 to 8 recorded in November 1979 at the BBC Studios, Maida Vale, London. Tracks 9 and 10 recorded in September 1979 at the BBC TV Studios.
