The College of Westchester (abbreviated CW), located in White Plains, New York, is a career-focused institution that has been providing students with the skills they need for employment for over ninety years. Formerly known as The Westchester Business Institute (WBI), the school is accredited and authorised to grant certificates and Associate's Degrees.
CW is a small, private college that offers sixteen degree and certificate programs in technology, business and allied health fields. CW is a member of the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) program, as well as of the Computer Technology Industry Association. They offer classes and exams that prepare students for certification in A+, Network+ and certain Microsoft certifications.
Students come from throughout New York State and Connecticut to attend day, evening or weekend classes. Upon graduation, students either enter their chosen fields directly, or else transfer to other schools to obtain their Bachelor's Degrees. Many students use the Metro-North's Harlem Line to commute to school every day, as it is within walking distance from the White Plains Metro-North Station.
