[edit] Information

The Cheetah Girls is a TV series picked up by Disney Channel in April of 2003, according to an article on the MTV new site. In another article on MTV News website in February of 2004, it said The Cheetah Girls show had been delayed, due to the success of That's So Raven. Therefore, Raven would not have been able to be in the show. Finally, in August 2006 Disney Channel confirmed that the plans for the series were cancelled, and the episodes produced will not air.

[edit] Plot

The Cheetah Girls are in New York City, the city of dreams (Well their dreams anyways). Chanel, Aqua, Galleria and Dorinda are the members of the talented and powerful girl group, The Cheetah Girls, that dream of making it big. But problems are a part of daily life for these cheetahs, because it seems like something is always trying to break-up the Cheetahs. But nothing can stop these Cheetah-licious divas from reaching their cheetah-licious goal of becoming international superstars! (Taken from original pilot presentation)

[edit] Rumors

There had been many rumors circulating that all four original Cheetah Girls are in contract for at least one season of this show. However Raven-Symoné has expressed her feelings against doing another sitcom. This statement led to rumors that after the first season the plot would change to Galleria (Raven-Symoné) would be moving away to Paris to further her mother's dreams of being a fashion designer. After Galleria left the group a new cheetah (Played by Jessica Benson of 3LW fame) would join The Cheetah Girls. However nothing confirmed this, and then the series was cancelled.

[edit] Tagline

[edit] Trivia

  • The series has planned many working titles such as The Cheetah Girls, Cheetahs In The House, and Cheetah Sisters.
  • Some of the original episode titles for the first season were Cheetah Sisters (Pilot), Cheetah-Mama Drama, Make it Big, New Cheetah On The Block, Only Dreamin, Old-Style Cheetah, Wild, Growl Power, Cat-Fight, and Purrfection. However, it is not known which (or any) of these were the original four.
  • The theme song was a shoretned version of The Cheetah Girls's single Cheetah Sisters.
  • At one time Solange Knowles was attached to the show but was forced to drop the project when it was put on hiatus.
  • A Cheetah Girls 3 was confirmed after the cancellation of this series, so it is unknown if any of the original ideas will be used.
