The Chancellor Manuscript will be a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

It was a 1977 novel by Robert Ludlum.

The book was about the alleged secret files of J. Edgar Hoover and how they disappeared after his death, and how possibly they could be used to force people in high places to do the bidding of those who possessed all those dirty, little secrets.

As fiction copies life, an author named Chancellor writes a piece of fiction that comes close enough to the above scenario that the people who control the files decide that someone might know too much.
