The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) is a retailer of medium- to high-priced casual apparel, footwear and accessories for young men and women.

The company is headquartered in Kearney, Nebraska and was founded as Mills Clothing, Inc. by David Hirschfeld in 1948. The company changed its name to Brass Buckle in 1967 and further, to The Buckle, Inc. in 1991. The company has 327 stores in 38 states and sells well-known brands including Dr. Martens, Fossil, Lucky, Polo and Silver. Chairman Daniel Hirschfeld, the founder’s son, owns approximately 53% of The Buckle (as of 2006).
