The Breadweather Biologists

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Breadweather Biologists are an alternative rock and anti-folk band from the western suburbs of Massachusetts. The band is fronted by Kait Jarboe, who plays make-shift piano melodies, toy accordion, kazoo, kitchen appliances, and found objects which make noises when you shake them. Other members of the band change with the tides and whatever works for the song in question.

Kait records her own music at home, preferring the lo-fi quality of analog sound to digital. Albums are also self-produced and released on her own record label, Vaudeville Records.

A typical live show generally involves improm tu, and Kait defines Breadweather Biology as "the art and science of flying by the seat of your pants".
