The Boy Who Reversed Himself (1986) is a science fiction novel by William Sleator. The novel deals with an exploration into other dimensions, and provides a journey into the world beyond our own.

The book follows Laura, a high school girl determined to be a medical student, crushing on Pete, the football captain, and dealing with her strange neighbor, Omar. Ever since Omar moved in next door, strange things have been happening to Laura. When she finally confronts him, she realizes that he has found access to the fourth dimension, and she accepts his invitation to travel there, bringing Pete with her. However, when she and Pete are captured by fourth dimensional creatures, it is only Omar that can save them.
