The Bishop's School (Pune)

The Bishop's School (Pune) has been providing education in Pune, India since 1864. This school started by a group of christian missionaries in Pune has become a household name now. The school is located in the cantonment area of pune very close to MG road.
The School is affiliated to the ICSE system of education and links itself to the ICSE board of education in New Delhi, India.

There are four houses namely Arnold, Bishop's, Harding and Mansfield here. These houses have been nominated with green, yellow, blue and red respectively. There is a high level of healthy competition amongst these houses every year for the cock-house award of the year.

The grading system at the school is one of its kind. Instead of giving a system of deriving a student's percentage at the end of a semester there is a point system and for every bracket of marks a student gets a certain point is allocated to the same. The student with the least number of points gets to the highest level in his/her class.

The Bishop's School has had its share in the area of sports as well. Be it football, cricket, basketball or even table tennis bishopites have been making the school proud for more than a century now.

In addition to its day school Bishop's also has a boarding school.
