[edit] Synopsis
After rescuing Princess Peach from Bowser (as seen in Super Mario Bros.), Mario and Luigi travel with her to the Land of Ice to find the magic with which to vanquish Bowser's evil doings (contradicting the storyline given in the game's instruction booklet), accompanied by her servant, Toad. But soon into their journey, a blind mother Birdo abducts Toad, believing him to be her missing baby. The Mario Bros. and Peach give chase, unaware that Bowser's minions (apparently on loan from Wart) are watching them.
Upon hearing the reports of his adversaries, Bowser sends some Albatosses to throw Bob-Ombs at them. When the good guys fight back, the remaining Albatosses use their Bob-Ombs to cause an avalanche, forcing the Marios and the Princess to flee and trapping them in a cave. Luckily, they manage to escape from the cave when Mario finds a Fire Flower and uses the resulting transformation's fireballs to melt the snow that's blocking their path. Shortly afterwards, they find the mother Birdo's real baby frozen in an ice block. At that point, Toad drops in, having been dropped by the mother Birdo in her attempt to give him flying lessons.
When Bowser finds out his enemies are still alive, he leads the next attack, accompanied by Koopa Troopas, Flurries, and more Bob-Omb-toting Albatosses. In the scuffle that follows, Mario loses his fire powers. Luckily, the mother Birdo, having been informed by Toad that they've found her real baby, comes to the rescue and forces Bowser to retreat by throwing vegetables at him and his minions.
[edit] Trivia/Goofs
- The plumber's log for this episode is 101, which is the same number as the episode's production code.
- Although this occurs after the Super Mario Bros. game, everybody is already familiar with the enemies from Super Mario Bros. 2.
- Peach claims Toad has saved her hundreds of times, something he has never been shown doing in the games (and hardly ever even in these cartoons).
- Mario claims that there are polar bears in the area. Polar bears won't be seen in a Mario game until the Mario Party games a decade later.
- Mario's catchphrase "Mama Mia!" is first said here, but by Luigi.
- Peach shouldn't need to explain the Fire Flower to Mario, since he and Luigi used them throughout the game.
- When you first hear the phone ring, there's a purple book on the table. When Birdo goes to answer the phone, the book is orange.
- When Birdo is rocking Toad, you first see nothing but a coffee thing on the table and nothing in the pen, but in the next scene, lots of stuff has appeared.
- When they're flying and Birdo says "Mommy knows best, little Cheepy", her mouth keeps moving when Toad starts to talk.
- When Birdo is giving Toad milk, Toad talks while the bottle is still in his mouth.
- When Mario says "Cheer up, Luigi. It could be worse" the "M" on his hat is white.
- When Mario powers up, he says "I love it when that happens." However, we can clearly tell from the earlier conversation that this is the first time Mario has powered up.
- When Luigi says "What is that thing?" Peach's mouth is moving as well.

[edit] Synopsis
Nicole Eggert visits the Marios' basement to see if the Mario Bros. really are the greatest plumbers in the world, as their advertisemt in The Brooklyn Times states. However, things go haywire when Nicole asks if they could fix her kitchen sink, where she accidentaly gets wet becouse of Luigi, almost sits on a cake left on a chair, gets covered in dust by an old heater, steps on the very same cake that was on a chair but now moved to the floor, sits on a pizza, and gets accidentally showered with garbage. The Marios try to apologize when Nicole tells them that it is okay. She explains that she was going to a party where everybody had to be dirty, and thus they've saved her the trouble of having to buy a costume.
