The Big Break-In is a season 3 (1989) episode of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series. This episode of the show was written by David Wise. It originally aired on November 8, 1989, in syndication. It is not yet transferred to DVD.
As the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) and Splinter are meditating, a series of vibrations strike. They figure out, since the vibrations are moving, that it can't be an earthquake.
Krang and Shredder manage to get the Technodrome moving toward the Earth's surface. With the power fully restored, Krang contacts General Traag , the head of his forces in Dimension X. Traag transports the "Minimizer" from Dimension X to Earth. The Minimizer is able to shrink anything it fires upon.
When Krang starts shrinking the military bases in the USA, April O'Neil the TMNT track the vibrations and find the Technodrome. As they enter it and try to sabotage it, they are attacked by Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady.
Meanwhile, April is driving the news van following the Technodrome, when her boss Burne Thompson orders her to follow the Minimizer. April makes a dangerous turn in the middle of the road. When April discovers the Minimizer, it shoots at her. When she tries to turn back, the van flips over with April in it. Thanks to the safety belt, she gets no physical injuries.
As the Technodrome reaches the surface and heads towards April, who is stuck inside the news van. Just as April manages to come out in time, the TMNT seize control of the Minimizer and shrink the Technodrome, with Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady inside it. As the Technodrome shrinks, Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady are also shrinking. The TMNT also return the military bases back to their original size. The TMNT and April watch the Technodrome, now small as softball, falling underground once again. However, Krang's machines can turn the Technodrome and everyone inside it to original size.
