The Bible College of Wales
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Bible College of Wales was founded in Swansea in 1923 by Rees Howells. He was led down the path of intercession for many years, before seeing Revival in Southern Africa.
Returning to Britain, he felt led to start a Bible College; his inspiration being the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. It formally opened at Glynderwen House, Swansea, UK in 1924.
Rees Howells became well-know as an intercessor, after the success of his life story, 'Rees Howells Intercessor', by Norman Grubb.
Rees Howells was director of the college until his death in 1950, when he was succeeded by his son Samuel as Honorary Director. The college now offers a practical ministry course and is developing a partnership with the University of Wales, Bangor to contribute an accredited part of the university's theology degree course.
