The Best Of Vol.1 is a collection of singles Silverchair released from 1995 - 1999 (all though it excludes "Shade" and "Emotion Sickness" was never a single).
It was released without the bands consent as they had recently left Murmur and Sony Music all together at the time and were shopping around for new record deals.
The second disc from the limited edition was later released as Rarities 1994 - 1999.
