The Best of Dolly Parton was a 1970 compilation by Dolly Parton, featuring much of her early RCA material, including the biggest hit she'd had to tht point, her cover of Jimmy Rodgers' "Mule Skinner Blues", which peaked at #3 on the U.S. country charts in early 1970, as well as her compositions "Just Because I'm a Woman", "My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy", and "Down from Dover". The album reached # 12 on the country albums charts.
