The Archaeological Conservancy

The Archaeological Conservancy is a non-profit organization that acquires and preserves archaeological sites in the United States.

The Conservancy was established in 1980 and is the only national non-profit organization of its kind. The organization is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, but also operates regional offices in Mississippi, Maryland, Ohio, and California.

The organization is in the process of acuiring Insley Mound, in Louisiana, Col. Robert Bolling's Kippax Plantation, in Virginia and Fairmont Butte in California.
