[edit] Introduction
A recap lasting about 15-20 minutes concisely talks about the entire season-to-date in summary, such as reason for each task, reason for a team's win, reason for a candidate's firing, etc. As opposed to the past two seasons of The Apprentice, Mr. Trump promised that the finale would be one hour instead of 2-3 hours. It aired live at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts theater in the New York University Limits on May 19, 2005.
[edit] Synopsis
Although there was supposed to be a boardroom which Michael, Chris, Kristen, Erin, Danny, and Brian talk about their bosses, we go directly to New York University where the finale takes place (apparently the boardroom comments from the 6 firees are unaired scenes). Bill Rancic (who recently had a contract extension from The Donald) and Kelly Perdew (Season 2 Hiree, reportedly did a great job and also did great promotions as well) joined the final decision.
[edit] Pre-End Decisions
In a surprising twist for the end of Season 3, The Donald gave the final candidates their choices of projects to work on before the Donald chose an apprentice. Tana chose the Miss Universe task, while Kendra chose the Palm Beach Mansion renovation project.
[edit] Weaknesses
The viewers learned that Tana was being disrespectful to her subordinates and called her subordinates names but she was a star up until the final stretch. Tana was also seen trying to take the entire credit for the Pontiac win. Kendra's weakness was that she "stepped up to the plate" too late and flew "under the radar" too much. However, Kendra had the team-oriented skills the Donald wanted. The Donald didn't like Kendra's crying in the boardroom but that did not stop Kendra from receiving favorable responses.
People liked Kendra and even some executives would even considering Kendra for a temporary contract during the Best Buy Video Game Event. Kendra had fresh ideas and even had a lot of foresight. Kendra's work ethics are ostensibly a lot stronger than Tana's and Kendra's personality was better suited for The Trump Organization.
[edit] The final decision
Kendra was hired by The Donald for reasons stated in the Weaknesses section of this article. Tana was fired for her poor treatment towards her subordinates on the Final Task. As Kendra originally stated before The Donald made the hiring decision, she would be able to oversee the renovation of Palm Beach Mansion following rigorous training from Carolyn Kepcher. The Donald commanded Kendra to celebrate her post-hire inside a Pontiac Solstice at once, which is now hers.
