[edit] Task Dossier

  • Kendra and Tana are now going to be doing separate events for the final task--It's Book Smart versus Street Smart

[edit] Kendra's Task

Kendra is appointed to do the Best Buy Fight Night Promotion as a final test to determine her eligibility for her position as Mr. Trump's Apprentice. Kendra will once again be involved in video games as the task involves a Boxing Game made by Electronic Arts.

Kendra was issued three previously fired 'flaky' Book Smarts employees (Danny, Erin, and Michael) in order to complete her task, and she was also given a suitable place to host the gaming event. Kendra has to have the space ready for the gaming event by the deadline, and the more attractive and/or the more presentable the gaming event is as far as promoting the image of the Boxing Game and the appearance of the gaming event, the better the chances of Kendra of becoming the Apprentice.

Kendra's performance will be observed likely by George Ross and her performance on this final task will also have an adverse effect on The Donald's final decision.

[edit] Tana's Task

Tana is appointed to do the NYC 2012 Athlete Challenge. Her goal is to provide an event that would promote what is going to happen in New York City sometime in 2012, when the Summer Olympic Games will occur.

Tana is furnished with three hard-to-work-with, previously fired Street Smarts (Chris, Kristen, and Brian), but she had reservations about working with them, asking if she could replace them, but George and Carolyn said that the key of this final task (dubbed The Task of all Tasks as per The Donald) is to test their ability to handle people they didn't want to work with.

Tana was given a pier-like arena to perform the task, and she had to ensure that the arena was not only ready for the event, but also ready for the athletes by the deadline. Tana would be observed by Carolyn Kepcher.

[edit] Synopsis

Kendra's main concern was that Danny was "being such a loose cannon" while she was supposed to keep her teammates under orders at all times, plus she was late to a meeting with key sponsors. Aimee from PlayStation threatened to pull away from the event because the PlayStation display looked terrible, and was in the basement; Kendra set Michael to work improving the display, and Amy later said she was very happy with how things turned out. Eventually, Kendra brought her team altogether. Kendra was able to pull off an impressive show. George, Carolyn, and even The Donald were playing the video game. Everyone had a fun time, and even the sponsors would consider hiring Kendra on their own terms. Kendra's teamwork orientation made her a loved character at work, proving that she always strived to keep her tasks altogether.

Tana had a much more difficult time getting the task on hand as opposed to Kendra. There was a lot of squabbling going on within the team. Tana's major flaws were the absence of the American Flag (The Donald thought it was a major mistake), rudeness to her employees, and not having proofread the flyers written by Kristen (the flyers were very demeaning to the athletes). Organizational Deficiencies, giving the Athletes no direction, not having the proper equipment on-hand for the attendees, poor correspondence between Brian, Chris, and Kristen were Tana's weaknesses, and Tana claimed that there was no love at all since Brian, Chris, and Kristen had no respect for Tana whatsoever. Yet, Chris was seen working very hard for Tana, giving her advice, and working with the athletes to suit their needs. Tana overruled his comments and cut him down in front of various officials, much to the disgust of Carolyn.

[edit] Post-Final Task Boardroom

The boardroom at the end of Episode 16 explained the strengths and weaknesses of Kendra and Tana, and Kendra stated why Book Smarts should prevail over Street Smarts, while Tana explained why Street Smarts are better than Book Smarts. Tana had a reasonable excuse why she left college after her junior year--to have a family, and according to Tana, Kendra has nothing. However, Tana had more flaws than Kendra based on the final task, since much of the unaired video from Yahoo's Apprentice Website will prove that Kendra was able to motivate her team much better than Tana.

Not to be overlooked is the amount of wins a candidate was involved. Kendra was on the winning team on Weeks 2, and 6 through 14. Kendra was 3-0 as Project Manager, and she had 10 wins (9 in a row). Tana was 2-1 as Project Manager (the only loss was against Kendra) and was on the winning team on weeks 1, 3, 5, and 8-13. Tana was on the winner's side 9 times. To an average Apprentice Viewer, Kendra has a more proven record than Tana, but Tana is willing to adapt. The main key flaws was that Tana's employees never liked her but The Trump Organization has some concerns if Kendra would lead the way Mr. Trump wants her to lead.

[edit] Episode 16 Trivia

  • The post-task thoughts of Brian, Kristen, Chris, Erin, Michael, and Danny apparently was unaired, as it's been deemed a deleted scene.
  • There were no firings after the Final Task was over
