The Adventures Of Blinky Bill is an animated series based on Dorothy Wall books, Blinky Bill. It is produced by Australia's biggest producer of animated programs, Yoram Gross. There is a difference between the book and the animated series. The book was set in Australia only about an koala named Blinky, Wombo, Mum, and of course Nutsy. But there are more characters introduced in the animated series. The story is set in Australia, in a little town called New Greenpatch. The town is looked after by the superstitious birdbrain mayor who always does speeches: Mayor Pelican.

In September 2006, the Yoram Gross organisation announced they would produce a new series of Blinky Bill cartoons.

Mr Wombat or Wombo as he is called and prefered by Blinky. He is Blinky's mentor and always helps him and saves Greenpatch when it is down.

Miss Magpie The town's school teacher. Blinky has a dislike of school and Miss Magpie is rather embarassed by her job.

Splodge The Kangaroo One of Blinky's friends.

Mrs Rabbit The local Greenpatch resident. Has a large number of children

Nutsy Koala Blinky's adoptive sister.

Flap A fat platypus and one of Blinky's gang.

Marcia Marsupial Mouse A Tough Mouse who hangs around with Blinky and he gang

Mayor Pelican The superstitious mayor. He is disliked by everybody for his boring speeches and not looking after the town.

Danny Dingo Greenpatch's enemy.

Meatball Dingo Danny's Younger Brother.

Daisy Dingo Danny's Sister.

Shifty Dingo Danny Dingo's Youngest Brother who tries to fit in with Blinky and the gang.

Ma Dingo Mother to Danny, Meatball, Daisy and Shifty.
