Founded in 1972 by John Houseman and current Producing Artistic Director Margot Harley with members of the first graduating class of Juilliard's Drama Division, The Acting Company has performed over 100 plays for over 3 million people in 48 states and nine foreign countries. Drawing actors from the finest training programs in The US, the Company has given a generation of theater artists the opportunity to master their craft. Their alumni members include:

The Acting Company has been honored with the Obie Award, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award, Citibank's Excellence in Education Award, two Audelco Awards, and a 2003 Tony Honor for Excellence in Theater.
