Talk:The Theory of Everything

I reverted this to the previous version where the full URL was displayed. The later edit replaced this with just a displayed [1] which did not seem an improvement. I'm happy to discuss which one is better! user:Nevilley
"we would urge you" etc is not an unencyclopaedic sentence. It is perfectly encyclopaedic since it is exactly what Hawking says in his own words. Read the article carefully. To say the truth, when I saw the article the first time I clicked Edit to remove this sentence but I soon realised my mistake. :) Optim 18:26, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- Can we edit the article so that we quote Hawking's request, rather than appearing to make the statement ourselves? If we become a PSA for Hawking (a brilliant and worthy man, I admit), many many people may demand the same treatment from us. I envision a troll insisting that he originally wrote the Matrix script and demanding that we inform people of this "fact" and urge them not to see the movie. Jwrosenzweig 18:28, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
It seems better now! Optim 19:38, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't understand the way it was written before. I didn't realize it was a quote. Sorry for the misunderstanding! ike9898 22:05, Mar 4, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] The Final Theory
This is a slightly related conspiracy theorist style popular science (or science fiction, if you like) publication. It seems to be quite popular and I've seen it a lot around the internet. Perhaps we could have an article on this book too? It's official website is http://thefinaltheory.com/?gclid=CLrn57_H0ocCFSMgYAodNBl1JQ. I can't say I've read it myself, though it's apparent popularity seems to make it notable enough for an entry here. Richard001 09:47, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
