[edit] typo?
In the first quotation, the word "alla" appears. Is this a typo for "all"? Kdammers 06:08, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll double-check my sources when I get a chance, but as it is a direct quote it might have been a typo in the original source, or perhaps a word construction we no longer user.--Caliga10 12:40, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Brass
The article states that the material makes an Indian source problematical unless trade items are involved. since the artifacts are destroyed (how, when?), perhaps they were actually of copper. A number of copper items from Michigan have on occasion been called brass and bronze. Kdammers 06:10, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- "how" - fire, "when" - 1843. I guess that is a possibility, but since the artifacts were examined by archaeologists at the time one would hope they thought to check whether the material was copper or brass.--Caliga10 12:42, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
