[edit] Will need disambig eventually

Although there's not an article written on them yet, there was a classic-era punk band from Surrey, British Columbia (a major suburb of Vancouver, sometimes characterized as Canada's Bronx or Brooklyn), early 1980s, in the same era as DOA, the Pointed Sticks, K-Tels/Young Canadians, I Braineater and so on. Something of a mix between stand-up comedy and hard punk, two guys with yappy vocals and twisted humour, e.g. "We've heard you got a prostitution problem in Vancouver. Hell, here in Surrey, we're real men - we married them!" (see Surrey girl and Talk:Surrey girl for context). Also disambig-related is Vancouver's 1990s and since moniker as "No Fun City" because of restrictive attitudes and legislation towards public enjoyments of various kinds.Skookum1 21:25, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
