This paragraph makes many assuptions about the reader's previous knowledge of the story. Most of the sentences make no sense or make associations without merit (particularly the one that discusses Hogarth having a gun and his dad believing him about the robot). In my opinion, this article needs a complete rewrite.

I removed the summary on the basis that it made very little sense. It's a fairly mediocre article, remaining a stub for over a year and 25 edits - perhaps it should be merged with the Ted Hughes page? ~ Eidako 13:52, 8 August 2006 (UTC) Retracted. ~ Eidako 09:33, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
