[edit] Concert Pictures
Hi. If any more concert pictures are needed for this page I have high res, original pictures from the 26th of June Stavanger concert. I have a total of 11 pictures, some of them are used here: http://www.pinkfloydz.com/roger2006/index26june.htm If any pictures are needed for this article, drop me a note on my talkpage and I will be happy to upload some for any editor that might need them. - Ah well, I learned how to use commons, so now they are all here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Roger_Waters 213.167.126.215 15:34, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Completed
Do we really need the word COMPLETED before each of the completed dates? I would of thought it was pretty obvious that the gig had happened by the date... (obv. have a note if the show was postponed/cancelled, etc) Lugnuts 18:57, 8 Aug 2006
- Mah, maybe not.--Doktor Who 19:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Certainly not. The gigs will all be completed pretty soon, so it's not very encyclopedic. BotleySmith 23:38, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Miming
From edit summary 69021242:
- "The entire "miming" section was completely unfounded, and frankly, full of hearsay and unsubstantiated claims".
Spoken like someone who doesn't want to believe what they're hearing. Admittedly, the paragraph I put in was heavily based on original research. That said, the debate (which seems to be the most common theme of all the show reviews I've read) is over how much Roger mimes during this tour, not whether he does or not. We should at least try to acknowledge the fact that Roger mimed during the Rio performance (the TV broadcast feed did not match the audience recordings), and has done so on previous tours. For proof of this last claim, see the Stachel interview I linked to:
- BD: Is it true that Roger (rather sensibly) used a handful of pre-recorded vocal segments to save his voice from too much strain? When I met him at Wembley his voice was struggling and he was sucking lozenges. I'd much rather artists used the odd pre-recorded segment (selectively) rather than have to cancel shows...
- NS:Yes, and I agree.
This is obviously a touchy subject, but that's no reason to remove all acknowledgement of it from this encyclopedia. BotleySmith 22:00, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

- And are you going to do the same for every article dealing with a rock singer or for Waters only? Dr. Who 22:12, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, if the leitmotif in every review of that rock singer's concerts is a debate on what parts were mimed, then I'd say it warrants inclusion. BotleySmith 22:33, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- If other Wikipedians say so..., but I see none here. I do not think it is encyclopedic, though it is worth to be included in a gossip magazine. Brain-damage website is a fan site, and its information is not always regarded as encyclopedic. --Dr. Who 22:50, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- There is none else here at Wikipedia, at least not now.Dr. Who 22:54, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

- I, as a Roger Waters fan, have no problems admitting he might have mimed during have a cigar on the Stavanger concert. However, the section was written in a very gossiplike way. If the section was written in a way that dosnt accuse of miming, but rather note that miming occored on some songs on some of the concerts it would be ok in my opinion. Lines like the ones saying "It may have been perfected to perfection" though are totally unfounded. If he is mining you can both see and hear the difference. Clq 23:03, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vera at Shoreline
Vera was not omitted from the October 10th show at Shoreline. I was at this show, and I distinctly remember the song just after Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 and before Bring the Boys Back Home. I have changed it back until somebody provides a link.
[edit] Unconfirmed Dates
I really don't feel as if putting dates which are unconfirmed (even if they are strong rumours) is worth it. In theory, any date/locale could be put there and be "unconfirmed" I'm going to remove them, if anyone feels like they should be there, say so. Evilive
