] The Authority was formed during the early summer of 2005. It is led by Juan Miguel Salvador, an award-winning composer born and raised in the Philippines.

The band is comprised of Juan Miguel on Lead vocals and also on the Keyboard, Bong Dela Cruz and Jun Alicante on Guitars, Jay Agustin on 2nd Keyboard, Austin Farinas on Drums and Alvin Soriano on the Bass. All six members have their own unique and diverse musical backgrounds and tastes which add to the groups’ distinct sound; one that ranges from the musical styles of Queen, Billy Idol, U2, Robbie Williams and Green Day.

They aim to capture the attention of music enthusiasts who may be tired of the oversaturated form of rock music now prevalent on mainstream media.

The Authority recently won The Global Battle of the Bands and earned the distinct honour of representing their country (Philippines) at the world finals in London last December 2005.
