Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy (also known as Spyro Fusion in Europe, and Spyro Advance: Waku Waku Tomodachi Daisakusen! in Japan), is the fourth Spyro game for the Game Boy Advance. It is one part in a crossover pair between the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro game universes.

Dr. Neo Cortex, Crash Bandicoot's sworn enemy had joined forces with Spyro the Dragon's enemy, Ripto in a plan to get rid of both Spyro and Crash by sending out Ripto's monsters on the area. Aku Aku and Coco asked Crash to recover the crystals to save the world before Cortex does.
Meanwhile, the Professor and Hunter ask Spyro to close the portals and get rid of the monsters. Unforturnely for Crash and Spyro, they were tricked because on Crash's world, the Riptocs are dressed as Spyro and on Spyro's world, they are dressed as Crash.
Then Crash and Spyro met and engaged in a bridge fight. Crash stands victorious and defeated Spyro. But then they realised they have been tricked. And a new friendship bloom between them and they joined forces to defeat the two evil villains.
Not even Tiny Tiger and Crush and Gulp can stop them, but Cortex use his niece, Nina Cortex, to kidnap Coco and the Professor. Blink the Mole told what happened to Crash and Spyro. Spyro rescued Coco and the Professor while Crash distracted Nina. Finally, Crash and Spyro defeated Nina at her own game.
Coco had an idea, if they put a tracer on Cortex and Ripto, they would track them to their headquarters. Crash defeated Ripto and he forgot, and Spyro defeated Cortex and he put the tracer on him. Crash and Spyro reached to their headquarters in space. As a team, Crash and Spyro defeated Cortex and Ripto. Then, they said thanks to each other and the games when a photo was taken of Crash had Spyro in a friendly headlock and the credits rolled.

Crash and Spyro had to travel in 5 different worlds, collecting crystals and gems (In Crash's case) and defeat the monsters (Spyro's case) and fight the bosses. They had to play lots of mini-games to win as well. You can even trade trading cards.

Spyro Orange is a somewhat disliked title, perhaps in part that it is a side-scrolling platformer, in contrast to the previous GBA titles which used a free-roaming, isometric field more comparable to Spyro's 3D origins.
