Radiant (Magic: The Gathering)

Radiant is a character from the trading card game Magic: The Gathering. She was a proud archangel lieutenant of Serra who appeared between the Urza's Saga and Urza's Legacy expansions.

Fleeing from the Phyrexians, Urza ‘walked to this Serra's Realm, where he befriended Serra herself and stayed several years to heal his wounds. After he left the Phyrexians began to taint the plane. Although Archangel Radiant and her warrior-angels fought back the Phyrexians the taint was unremovable and Serra left disappointed. The corrupted Radiant blamed the humans for Serra's departure and a civil war between angels and humans broke out. Later Urza returned to Serra's Realm, looking for a power source to power Weatherlight's engine. As the plane began to weaken, Urza rescued the humans and most of the angels. He then destroyed the Realm, along with Radiant and her archangels, turning it into the powersource for the Weatherlight's engine.
