Mortal Kombat: The Album was the first album released to accompany the home versions of the video game Mortal Kombat. The album featured the Mortal Kombat yell theme song "Techno Syndrome" which was used for the "Mortal Monday" TV campaign in 1993. The theme song was released a year earlier as a single in 1992. The album was not to be compiled until 1994.
