El Cartel: The Album is the follow up album to Daddy Yankee's hit album Barrio Fino. According to a promotional video, this next CD will be released in February 2007. Yankee announced on the bonus DVD of En Directo that he plans to make this album a "hit". Yankee is currently still recording tracks for the upcoming disc. Also quoted in the back of the En Directo CD jewel case in the coming soon area, it says "El Cartel: The Album coming soon". Guests will include Pitbull, Trick Daddy, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, UGK, Mobb Deep, Snoop Dogg, Petey Pablo, Young Buck and many others. Daddy Yankee said this will be his best record ever.
