The night of February 5, 1976, George and Kathleen Lutz fled their home in Amityville, New York. They got out alive! But before them, another family lived in this house and were caught by the original evil. They weren't so lucky... this is their story!

[edit] Plot summary

The Montelli family thought that they are moving into the house of their dreams, but they were wrong. There is evil in the house. The demons are terrorizing the family, causing the Montelli family to fall apart. The mother tries to get the local priest, Father Adamsky to bless the house but he ends up leaving. The oldest son, Sonny Montelli falls victim to a demon which ends up possessing him.

The evil spirits cause him to tear the family apart and eventually force him to murder his parents and siblings. Eventually, after the family is murdered, Father Adamsky realizes Sonny is possessed and asks the church for permission to perform an exorcism and is denied. Father Adamsky takes it upon himself to free Sonny's soul.
